Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music announce global auditions for new girl group

Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music have just announced their plan to launch the ‘Plus Global Auditions.’

Since acquiring the Source Music last month, Big Hit Entertainment is joining forces with Source in order to find the best talent to form a new girl group who will be aiming to debut in 2021. Big Hit CEO Bang Si-Hyuk will be taking control of overseeing the production of the group, while Min Hee-Jin of Source will take the reigns of the creative direction of the girl group, including the concept, video and image of the girls. This will be the first girl group launched by Big Hit and Source since the two labels have become business partners.

The Plus Global Audition will be held in sixteen cities across the world, including the United States, Australia and Japan.

The auditions will be held in the following cities:

Los Angeles and New York City: October 5th

Perth and Singapore: October 12th

Melbourne: October 13th

Busan, Gwangju, Osaka, Sapporo and Taipei: October 19th

Seoul, Tokyo and Kaohsiung: October 20th

Hanoi and Bangkok: October 26th

Ho Chi Minh: October 27th

Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music have opened the official Twitter account for the auditions and more information will be revealed in the next few weeks.

Big Hit Entertainment has a history of incredible artists, such as the powerhouse that is BTS, while Source Music have the much-loved girl group GFriend already under their belts. It is clear that expectations are high for what Big Hit and Source will produce from the new girl group.
