In a recent interview with Celebwell, Jana, the brand spokesperson for Unisom's drug-free Simple Slumbers Midnight Raspberry Gummies, revealed that exercising daily is not only one of her top fitness tips but also sleeping tricks. "If I don't work out or go for a run that day, it will absolutely impact how I sleep," she revealed. "After the kids are at school is when I will work out or go for a run." She generally hits the pavement 4-5 times a week.  According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.

Jana also encourages a healthy diet. "Your body needs good fuel and energy to get you to the end of the day and if I don't prioritize that, I definitely feel it at night," she says.

Jana emphasizes the importance of gut health. "I have been hyper-focused on gut health recently," she tells us, "so I've been cutting back on cheese which has been very hard."

One of Jana's go-to forms of fitness? "I like to do a few days of strength training," she says. How often should you lift weights? Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, per the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.

Jana stresses the importance of self-care "I love a good bath, reading, or journaling," she says. Baths are actually scientifically proved to help you sleep better and can also be helpful for minimizing anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Jana also makes sure to hydrate."I drink about a gallon of water a day," she says. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.

Jana also priortizes sleep. "For me it's to put the kiddo's down, finish up any work and then a nice cup of tea. If my mind is racing and it's a busy time, I take my Unisom Simple Slumbers to help me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer in order to wake up feeling refreshed!" she reveals.
