Another day, another Kim Kardashian confession! This time, it’s about fur — and one that PETA and animal rights activists can actually get behind.
When the reality star posted a photo of her 5-year-old daughter, North, in her closet with her entire body engulfed by a white fur on Instagram on Tuesday, June 11, she let her fans know it wasn’t what they thought. “Remember when I wore this!” she captioned the snap. “She picked out the same look lol but fun fact- I took all of my fave furs and remade them in faux fur.”
It appears that the KKW Beauty mogul, 38, originally wore the lookalike fur and black cap that North wears in the social media photo on February 14, 2016 in New York City. In the mother-daughter outing, the pair jaunted around the city with North also dressed in what appeared to be a fur bomber.

In the 12 years since Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered, the KKW Beauty mogul, 38, has worn more than her share of fur coats. In 2012, the star was even hit with a flour bomb thrown by a PETA activist on a red carpet. (The event led her sister Khloé Kardashian to drop her partnership with the animal rights activist group. And Lady Gaga even spoke out to defend the star.) Then, in 2017, Pamela Anderson wrote Kardashian a letter asking her to stop wearing fur and even gifted her with a faux, coral-colored mink.
More recently, the mother of four told her Snapchat followers that she had given up wearing real pelts: “Hey guys, these nails only mean I’m here in Vegas to see Cher. I have blue nails, this coat is faux fur,” the UK’s Sun reported Kardashian said in a May 3, 2019 video. “That’s my new thing, faux.”
