CAPE TOWN, South Africa (CelebrityAccess) — Ticketmaster announced plans to expand its operations in Africa through the acquisition of Quicket, one of the continent’s leading event and festival ticketing companies.
According to Ticketmaster, the partnership with Quicket, known for its self-service platform and event organizer tools, will allow the expansion of service to event producers and venues of all sizes, from small clubs to large festivals and stadiums.
Additionally, Quicket’s established operations in Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, and Botswana, and regional expertise, will broaden Ticketmaster’s reach in the region, while providing access to established technologies such as encrypted digital mobile ticketing across the conteinent.
Following the acquisition, Quicket Managing Director James Tagg will continue to oversee operatons as a standalone business unit from Cape Town.
